Vita-D Inj. 300,000 IU is a high-dose cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) injectable formulation.
It is indicated for the prevention and treatment of vitamin D deficiency, especially in the elderly, adolescents, and patients with malabsorption issues. This intramuscular injection is a reliable alternative when oral supplementation is inadequate or not tolerated.

💡 Indications

💉 Dosage & Administration

- Route: Intramuscular injection only 
- Adjust dose based on serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D levels

âš Precautions for Use
🔸 Warnings
- Consider total vitamin D intake from food and supplements 
- Monitor calcium levels regularly 
- Stop treatment if: - Serum calcium > 10.5 mg/dL 
- Urinary calcium > 4 mg/kg/day in adults 
 
🔸 Contraindications
Do not administer to:
- Patients with hypersensitivity to any components 
- Hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, or renal impairment 
- Patients with calcium oxalate stones, sarcoidosis, or pseudoparathyroidism 
- Bedridden patients or patients with limited mobility 
🔸 Adverse Reactions
Overdose may cause:
- Headache, fatigue, muscle pain 
- Loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, constipation, or diarrhea 
- Polydipsia, polyuria, dehydration 
- High blood pressure, kidney damage, calcium stones 
- Hypercalcemia, hyperphosphatemia, vascular calcification, growth disturbances
